Drawings are the most personal and revealing art of the artist. You can tell a lot about the artist, not only by the lines (s)he chooses to use, but also by the “mistakes” left in. Not all the lines are exact to the image, but they add expression to the drawing.

By the time, a painting, print, or sculpture is made from the sketch, a lot of the mistakes are removed. This adds a completeness to the final work, but removes some vitality and personality to it.

The drawings here came from a sketchbook, either for done just for fun or as a study for a painting or print to be made.
