The Grinch

1995
pen & ink with watercolor
6" x 4"

I did this drawing at work for a label affixed to some coffee we handed out to clients. My co-worker, who came up with the idea, called it "Grinch Grounds" and asked me to provide the drawing for it. Since there was no Internet in our office at the time, I had to pause my VHS tape of The Grinch TV special in a couple places for reference for the sketch.

I later posted it on my own personal site every Christmas. In the past few years, I discovered through Google it's been downloaded and used by many others with no credit tome, as the artist (including this Democrat blog and an MTV game site, and, to my delight, fellow metro-Detroiter Debbie Schlussel). So if you're wondering where that cool Grinch drawing came from, now you know.
