Baba Yaga Flying 1991 This is another micropoint painting, except I used an airbrush this time to spray my colors. It’s a lot quicker to work this way, and I can get a greater variety of hues. But I still prefer to use an atomizer to get a grainer look to the painting. The subject matter is of Baba Yaga, a witch in Ukrainian and Russian tales. You’ll see a few pieces with Baba Yaga in my gallery. At the time, I was doing a lot of sketches and paintings based on the Baba Yaga tales and hope one day to do a children’s book with her tales. |
