My First Micropoint Painting 1988 This is the first micropoint painting I did. It’s also the first one I sold (note the red circle on the bottom left of the photo). I did this painting the first day of a micropointillism workshop that Stephen Goodfellow gave at the Michigan Gallery in Detroit (where this photo was taken). As for the subject matter, it’s simply a face I created from my imagination. I didn’t take a long time to come up with the image since I was more concerned about learning the technique. Still, I was very happily surprised at the outcome. |
