Torc Waterfall, Ireland

Torc Waterfall, Ireland

2010
acrylic micropoint
16" x 20"

I did this painting while teaching my cousin's daughter how to do micropoints on a hot summer day (the perfect setting for outdoor micropoint painting since the sun dries the paint quickly). It was done just for fun in about 3 hours or so.

It's based on a photo I took on a trip in Ireland of the magnificemt Torc waterfall in the Ring of Kerry. It was, in my opinion, the most beautiful part of Ireland (a country with many beautiful parts to it).
