Hawthorn Tree 2012 After an inspiring talk with an artist at an art fair and her preference to oil paint over acrylic, I decided to tackle this medium after not painting in it for over 20 years. I did this painting of the Hawthorn Tree in our back yard in 2 1/2 hours. Since there was no time to let any of the paint dry, I found it very difficult to get any details painted. Most of it was painted with a palette knife. |
