Printmaking
Printmaking is more than just a means of reproducing a drawing. It’s a medium with its own look. No other medium can capture a crisp, strong line like an engraved or etched line in an intaglio print. And there are few media more personal or powerful than the woodcut. Since I don’t have easy access to acid baths and presses, most of the prints I’ve made in the last decade or so have been relief prints. Which is fine with me, since it’s one of my favorite media. |
